At Xcellerated Nurse Aide Training, we offer a comprehensive course that is designed to teach you the essential skills needed to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities. Our nursing instructors have over 30 years of direct nursing experience, and they are readily available to support you throughout your program and your career.

Students who enroll in the Xcellerated Nurse Aide program are taught the theoretical and hands-on aspects of the job in a classroom environment. Students practice the day-to-day resident care duties of a CNA, which include:

Bathing residents
Grooming residents by brushing hair, teeth, shaving, etc.
Assisting with elimination needs
Turning or moving residents
Ambulating residents
Feeding residents and documenting food and liquid intake/output
Assistance with some medical procedures
Checking vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate
Answering resident calls
Documenting information
Cleaning rooms and bed linens
Safety procedures
Transporting residents
Gathering medical supplies
Stocking supplies

Students participate in a simulated clinical environment to ensure that all techniques and skills are mastered. Students who successfully complete the CNA program are awarded a diploma and are eligible to take the clinical and written examinations required by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
